Gluten Free Shrimp with Tomatoes Appetizer!

Want an Appetizer for that BBQ or Dinner that’s fast and sure to please?

Here ‘s something that whips up in a flash and doesn’t require loads of unusual ingredients: Grilled Shrimp with Tomatoes!  And by “Grill” I mean you can do it indoors on a pan too!


  • Raw Shrimp : The ones that are size 21 or so per lb.
  • 2 Tbl Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I like “Light” blend
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced as fine as possible or use a press.
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup  of canned Diced Tomatoes. Not a flavored type.


Remove the shells from the shrimp and then remove the dark vein along the back. (A slit with a sharp knife will expose it, then lift out and discard. Or have the fish monger do it for you.)

Take a large bowl, add the Shrimp, and then all of the other ingredients.

Stir and toss to coat well.

If you have time, allow to marinate for an hour, or else you can grill immediately.

Using either a grill pan indoors, or use a grill pan made for BBQs, and grill on a high heat. Turn to grill both sides, but Shrimp cook up fast so don’t wander away. May take only a couple of minutes. The flavors just meld together and result in a lovely Shrimp appetizer. Enjoy!!
